Double Decker Rabbitry, formerly Wright's Rex Rabbitry, started in 2007 when Jessica, the bunny enthusiast was married to Benjamin Decker, a rabbit enthusiast in training.  We successfully moved the rabbits to our new home in Fulton, NY in 2007.  Jessica has been raising Rex since 1994, starting out as a 4H exhibitor, and currently shows open.  We plan to travel to most open ARBA shows in NY and some in PA.  Currently we are focusing on Black, Black Otter, Chocolate Otter, Chocolate, Castor, Chinchilla,  and the Broken of those varieties.

Due to some unwanted duplication of some of our specific rabbits names by other breeders, you can know that our rabbitry's animals names begin with "WR's " or "Decker's" and the ear number will contain WR, WX. If in doubt of a rabbit's origin, I would be happy to confirm or deny former ownership or breeding, just send me an email.

We  typically try to breed year round, and usually have stock for sale.   All our pedigreed bunnies are genotyped, based on the parents and other relatives to help purchasers know as much as I know concerning what they can carry genetically.  
We strive for excellence in show qualities but also in health and temperment. 

In the past, we Registered any animal we bred through ARBA, and many of our older, current breeders are registered and have their GC certificates.   In an effort to spend our  funds a little more wisely, we NO LONGER making it a priority to Register, or send in legs won for Grand Champion certificates.  However, the number of legs a particular rabbit has won is stated on the pedigree- if a rabbit has won enough legs and meets the criteria for a Grand Champion, "GC elligible" will appear next to its picture on the website.
